Conversation with The Rough & Tumble

For our first podcast, we chose the band who played our last in-person house show. Scott and Mallory make up The Rough & Tumble, and outside the pandemic, have toured the country in their camper--complete with their two large dogs. Their live shows are high energy, complete with great stories, songs, and humor. Just recently, their song "The Hardest Part" won the 2019 Independent Music Award for Americana Song of the Year.

Today we talked about life during the pandemic, songwriting methods, and even some of the music that has inspired them both. Please listen and then visit their their website where you can sign up for their newsletter, follow them on social media, and even buy some merch.

If you would like to send them some support during this pandemic, you can tip them at either Venmo or Paypal.

Music at Three Pines: The Podcast
A house concert promoter talks to musicians about the creative process.
At Music at Three Pines, we have hosted over 20 private house shows with incredible touring folk and Americana musicians. With the pandemic, we are on hiatus, but want to support these musicians as well as talk music. On this podcast, we will talk about the creative process, self-care, and the difficulties of the music industry.
